A japanese restaurant situated in Shantinagar, Bangalore
The spacious Karaoke room in the restaurant was to be painted in the spirit of Indo Japanese relations. It was to be ready for a meeting conducted by The Honorable Consulate General of Japan, Katayuki Kitagawa.
A splash of red blue and gold, we transformed the room into a vibrant display of energy.
We designed two characters to represent the IndoJapanese ties; Ao the Indian girl and Kiiro the Japanese girl, both dressed and stylised as an amalgamation of said cultures.
Utilising the length of the walls, we used a bowl of Udon (decked in the restaurant's colours of red and black) tipping over at the entrance of the Karaoke Room to highlight dynamic motion; the Udon snakes right out of the bowl in an explosion of movement and snakes their way across the length of the room.
The words are decked along the walls to encourage the theme of the rooms function
The painting was done manually by the both of us , completed in 5 days total.
